Preselling A Product For Better Conversions
April 21st, 2012
There are just a handful of known ways that can genuinely have a measurable impact on one’s business, and we have to say that preselling is one of those methods. As you may have guessed, this form of copy does not really sell in the classical sense, but it is a powerful piece of the selling puzzle.
How you structure your presell copy will depend on several factors, but one possible approach is to talk about the product creator if you want. If you can position that so it helps to build credibility, then that will be a plus factor. You do have to be careful about how much you say because remember it is all about what is in it for the reader, and they really may not care at all about the vendor. All readers, you and us too, are constantly wondering about what we are reading about. Others relate to things like value, for example. Do I get a good feeling from this, overall? It is a smart idea to cleverly address all those concerns in your presell. All of your efforts culminate with either a willingness to proceed or go somewhere else.
As far as doing A/B split testing on your copy, you could rewrite the entire introductory paragraph, for example. Have you stopped and considered that your tone and style of writing may have a negative impact? Perhaps most businesses online do not venture much into the telling of stories in any kind of copy. We all have different habits that we bring to the table in our business, and you should develop as many success habits as possible such as the habit of working toward improving all you do in your business. It is those who are willing to do more and do what it takes that end-up with the brass ring.
Do a Google search for ‘how to write presell copy’ and see what turns up, or Google Ken Evoy because he has an excellent free ebook on the subject. Obviously, your most powerful presell will come when you have seen the product or even used it. But if you cannot do that, then simply go to the sales page and glean all you can. You can do the usual and swipe information from other reviews, but then everybody will have the same information which is quite boring. You will be able to check out different approaches, so that is not so bad. Always be your self and establish your own way of expressing your self, and that will help brand you.
We feel you are better prepared to write presell copy, but if this is your first exposure then it is best to learn more about the subject. Learn more about Private Blog Network.
