In today’s world we decorate upright Christmas trees with their tips pointing heavenward. Our Christmas trees would be viewed as the ones that are upside down to the original Christmas celebrants.
Christians in the middle ages hung their Christmas trees upside down to ensure that anyone viewing the trees would realize it was no ordinary decoration but a bold statement of faith.
